Atticus Ray’s Journey Began

With the incredible support of his parents, teenage Atticus began his entertainment journey by teaching himself how to dance. His undeniable talent soon led to his first public appearance at the Lenawee County Fair. While paying his way through college by teaching dance, Atticus earned a degree in “Film and Telecommunications” at Eastern Michigan University.

Later, he and his students performed for audiences across the area. To solve a production issue, he designed and manufactured a small fleet of portable stages. Always an entrepreneur, he used these stages for concerts and rentals, creating the company “Stage Express”. Using his networking skills, Atticus arranged a sponsorship with Hummer and a regional dealer to have one of the first civilian units of the H1 to pull those stages promotionally throughout the country.

It was at this time that Atticus created a full stage production called American Thunder,
(America’s History Through Music and Dance), which featured the best material of his career.

Atticus also worked with Tom Monaghan, founder of Domino’s Pizza, Olympic Medalist Judy Brown, Willard Scott, Minnie Pearl, and award-winning hip hop artist “G-Reality”.

Atticus created Cottonwood Cloggers
,
a dance company that operates in Michigan. After reaching 9 locations and over 1,000 students, Atticus began setting plans in motion for national expansion.

Tap Your Potential (kit and program) was developed from his passion for helping children through after-school programs. From that was born the Million Taps for a Million kids’ campaign to assist in keeping kids off the streets while fighting their #1 health threat: childhood obesity. Atticus helps a multitude of organizations for kids, including Big Brother Big Sister, YMCA, Special Olympics, Community Action Agency, Hundreds of Schools, and numerous churches.

To date, he has helped over 100,000 kids in need with his positive message, school programs, and tap donations.

Atticus has excelled in areas outside of dance as well. He partnered with top builders and invested time and profits into real estate projects such as real estate development, new construction, and more.

With over 20 years of building an ever-expanding network of top-end professionals to collaborate with, he can help produce projects ranging from Super Bowl Commercials to documentaries and reality TV shows to stage shows.

With Atticus’ proficient experience in these areas and colleagues who surpass his knowledge, every aspect of production is met with Television, Film, Music, and Performance Industry top standards.

From conceptual, creative, and artistic development to marketing, advertising, and promotion, this is the production value behind Atticus and, more importantly, the industry powerhouses he has the privilege of knowing and working with.

Atticus and his beautiful wife Nancy have been married for 26 years and have two sons. They believe their faith is the driving force behind their happiness and success.

They are on a mission to spread happiness and success while helping others grow using big construction and dance production.
